Introduction to Tables and web page design

Tables are very handy to put text and pictures in to create a layout that otherwise would not be possible. Tables are a combination of Rows and Columns:

Table Examples

Here is a 1 Row / 1 Column Table / 1 pixel border - size 80%

Here is a 1 Row / 3 Column Table / 1 pixel border (red) - size 80%

Here is a 2 Row / 3 Column Table / 1 pixel border (red) - size 100%

I merged the columns together in this row and added a background color

Here is a 2 Row / 3 Column Table / no border - size 100%

This is the same table as above, but without any border ... very cool

1) Now let's create a Table - click on the Table Icon to Insert a Table
