Cpanel HTML Editor Tutorials

and edit web pages using Cpanel's HTML Editor, included Free with
all of our Hosting Plans. Each Tutorial
below assumes you have clicked on the file you want to edit and
have it opened in the HTML Editor window. If you don't know how

How to create and modify Text
Text is easy to create, just click inside the main window and start
typing! This tutorial will show you how to Create text, Align text,
Change text Size, Change text Fonts, and Change text Color. We'll
also learn some basic text functions:
- To Create Text - just click inside the main window and start
typing!
- To Add Text - copy text from any document & Paste
into the main window.
- To Copy
text: 1) Highlight the text 2) position
your mouse inside the highlighted area 3) "right-click"
your mouse 4) choose "copy" from menu
- To Paste
text: 1) Position your mouse cursor
where you want the text to be placed 2) "right-click"
your mouse 3) choose "paste" from menu
How to Highlight Text - 
- position your mouse to the right of the text you want to "highlight"
- left click your mouse to place your cursor at starting point
- holding down your left mouse button, drag your mouse over the
text from right to left - it will turn black (the black text is
"highlighted" and can be modified)
Note: When text is Highlighted
it can be modified
1) Creating Text - Type in the words "Welcome to my website"
in the window and hit your keyboard's "Enter" key
2 times
2) Adding Text - now Copy the text below How?
and Paste it into the HTML Editor

A website can be very useful:
For your business, selling products and services, cheap
advertising
To tell people about yourself, your hobbies, your achievements,
etc.
To share your favorite music and pictures with your friends
and family
For discussion purposes, set
up a chat room, bulletin board, web forum

Your HTML Editor screen should now look like this:
Modifying Text - Now let's see what we
can do with some text. We will be working with the text toolbar,
which is pictured below.
This is your Text Toolbar

Each item on the toolbar performs a separate function, and is grouped
in a way that should be familiar to you. Let's explore some of the
functions.
Text Alignment
This is the Text Alignment group
To use: 1) Highlight text How?,
2) click to make selection
Left Align - aligns your text to the left (the default
setting)
Center Align - aligns your text in the center
Right Align - aligns your text to the right
Justify - only works with paragraphs to make the ends straight
3) Let's create a Title - Type in some text and Highlight the
text with your mouse (hold down your mouse & drag it over
the text from right to left - it will turn black)
Note: When text is Highlighted
it can be modified
4) Aligning Text - click the Center Text Icon to Center
it in the middle of the page (click other Icons to Align Left, Align
Right, or Justify to make paragraphs straight)
Text Fonts and Size
This group has "drop-down" menus
To use: 1) Highlight text How?,
2) click ,
3) make selection

Paragraph Format - drop
down menu for paragraphs and headers |

Normal - default setting
uses Single Spacing for "Enter" key |

Formatted - uses Double
Spacing for "Enter" key (new paragraph) |

Heading - for Headers. The
smaller the setting the larger the text |

will display the "default" font of the user's computer |

5) Changing Text Fonts - Let's assign the Arial font to your Title
Text ... to do that; make sure you text is Highlighted
and choose the Arial font.

6) Changing the Text Size - Let's make our Text Title a little
larger ... to do that; make sure you text is Highlighted
and choose Font Size 5
