Q)
What do I need to get My Website on the
World Wide Web?
A) There are two things required to
get your site up and running:
- an Internet Address: you need to have your own unique
"web address" for people to go to see your website.
The most common way to get one is to register a Domain Name, which
provides you an easy to remember web address ... like "yahoo.com"
... ours is 2serveU.net
- a web hosting account: once you have registered your
Domain Name, you can sign up for a web hosting account. This will
be a portion of a web server that's yours to use, which will store
all of your website's Files.
Once you have your domain name and hosting account, you can upload
your files.
| Note:
you need a Domain
Name and a Hosting account before
you can upload files. |
